The Space Needle

On Sunday morning, Terry and I made our way over to the St. James Cathedral which was full and seats about 1,200 people. It was gorgeous. Normally, as some of you know, if you want to light a candle and pray for someone you find the little tray of candles which is about 3’ x 2’ long.

St. James had an entire room of candles on the walls and it was magical. Speaking of magical, we both agreed that we had never heard a church choir as beautiful as the one at this church. Wow! I can imagine how angels might sound. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the whole service.

After this we spent some time exploring downtown a bit then it was back for breakfast ….wonderful egg/bacon/cheddar sandwiches made by Lana.

We all decided to play tourist that afternoon and to head out to the famous Space Needle.

It was a great idea and we all had a blast fooling around with photos and enjoying the incredible views. ( Check out the glass floor which made me feel so dizzy…and the huge spiders on that roof!)

After exploring the gift shop we headed out to a ‘games’ café where we enjoyed playing “Codenames” for about an hour. I thought we were then heading home for pizza but the gang kept a BIG secret from me : we had tickets to see one of our favourite comedians, Jim Gaffigan!

The show was SOOOO good and so were our seats.

We DID enjoy a pizza dinner when we got home after the show. Great chats and sleep again.

I’ll leave you with a few more pictures of Seattle….
