Palm Sunday

We can be a fickle, fearful people.

In Jesus’ time the people lined the streets and waved palm branches to welcome him.

One week later they crucified him.

That’s the neverending story. I want to trust. I do trust. I’ve lost my faith. I believe.

God knows our hearts.

He knows we look for signs and wonders to strengthen our belief in HIm.

He knows how fast we can forget the everyday miracles that occur all around us….yes….even daily.

But He loves us ….till the end and keeps calling to us…. “Follow me. I am here. I will carry you.“

This past Sunday we received blessed palms and stood together to praise God.

Will we remember him his week? Do we believe that he sees us and knows our hearts?

Sometimes it takes us hitting rock bottom to finally admit that we can’t do it alone.

Let’s wave our palms and invite Jesus into our hearts this week if we haven’t already.

Let us allow him to wash our feet on Holy Thursday.

Let us grieve with him on ‘Good’ Friday.

Let us be open to a miracle on Holy Saturday.

And let us gather together to rejoice once again on Easter Sunday!

Let us be an ‘Easter People’.

Amen.
