The Final 2 Pysanky

I sure have appreciated and loved finding time to spend at the Marian Centre downtown at their Psanky station.

Although I am mostly alone this year (as opposed to other years where every seat around the table has been spoken for) I love the quiet, prayerful, focused time of painting and dying these eggs.

My Madonna House friends have provided everything from the dyes to the tools to the blown eggs. Wow!

I chose another, large goose egg the other day…..

Burning off all of the wax at the end is a thrill for me as all the colours emerge as well as the intricate designs…(as well as my mistakes…ha ha)

The following week I had one more chance to work on an egg so I chose another goose egg….

I made up the design for this one by using my teacup as inspiration. My cup was royal blue and white but I chose to use a similar flower pattern with a turquoise dye. It’s so pretty!

All in all I dyed 8 pysanky (I’m giving one to my daughter-in-law) and had so much fun doing it.

I’m so thankful to my friends at the Marian Centre for setting up the large egg station and inviting me to use it anytime.

Easter is going to be here before we know it.

It’s time for family and that’s where we’re headed next…..
