A Pop of Green
Could it be?
Am I imagining things?
Or did I just see a pop of green in some of the yards as I drove by?
Looks like we might actually be through with snow for the time being. I am still incredulous with the fact that it snowed 2 days ago on April 26th.
To me green symbolizes the first sign of Spring. It represents nature, growth, renewal, and vitality.
And of course, we’ve all heard of the ‘go green’ initiative. Better for the planet and all that.
I’m sure my husband thinks….’ golfing’ when he thinks of the word green.
“Green” has historically been associated with inexperience, luck, prosperity, and envy too.
Green is my favourite colour. I like : Emerald, Lime, Forest Green, Olive, Grass Green, and Sage.
I find the colour green relaxing and calming….although not the old, yucky colour light green they used to use for hospital walls. Ewwww.
Green means new beginnings and renewal.
So as we enter into Spring and look forward to flowers blooming and leaves sprouting (I know. I know. Some of you already have this!) let’s also look at this year as a fresh start.
What can we do to renew our friendship with God? How can we strengthen our worldly friendships and relationships?
Are there any positive changes we wish to make within ourselves?
I’m going to look for the calm in this colour and learn how to breathe it in when I get nervous or stressed. God knows there’s a lot to be stressed about these days.
Looking forward to my Spring adventures in Ontario next.
(I better remember to bring a few ‘greenbacks’…ha ha.)
