Summer Fun With Family Near
What a wonderful thing to be near our families!
This summer has already given us lots to cheer about too. My guy finally won a major golf tournament. Well, actually, he won TWO! Congratulations, Terry!
He’s also having a blast golfing with our boys and our smaller boys too!
I had fun doing crafts with the children and taking the first group of family members out to Sassy G’s Farm. What a great place for kids to see animals up close and play tons of outdoor games.
The day was very hot but soon the clouds darkened and we wondered if we would get poured upon.
Nope. The skies seemed to pour all around us but never touched us the whole time we were there. In fact, we only just started to get a few drops when we were in the car leaving. It was a super time.
Soon, our next be adventure was to drive down to see Terry’s musical, DREAM, where we would meet up with more family from Vancouver and Seattle too. Speaking of the drive down….it was beautiful ….blue skies, puffy clouds, and plenty of canola fields in their neon yellow glory!
Our families all arrived at the same time, on time, but we had time to visit a brand new café in which mother and son performed “Feelin’ Groovy” for us! (I thought they looked the same age!)
Time to have our delicious buffet lunch and then on to the World Premier of Terry’s DREAM.
After the show we checked in to B.J.’s Country Inn B & B and settled in to gab about the event. I also brought a couple new paintings in because I had sold 2. It seems by the nightly standing ovations and full houses that things are going well for our play. We were all quite emotional to see what the director and cast have done with the show since the trial and it is just the BEST! I hope you get to see it. After the show the cast came out to meet all of us and answer any questions. What a nice thing to do!
It felt great to decompress with the gang after our fun dinner at the “Sun Spot” in Drumheller. Beautiful flowers everywhere too and we decided to return the next day again….to play mini golf!
As we were approaching the Inn the most beautiful rainbows appeared. It felt like a lovely sign of love.
We let the children have a ‘run around’ in the huge property before bed and soon morning came and with it a lovely breakfast at the B & B.
To Be Continued…..
