Sip & Dip 2025
I met this wonderful lady at my pool, Bev.
Every year she invites our ENTIRE ‘Aquaducks’ class to her condo where she supplies ALL the food and drink!
Her home is so lovely and it’s so cute to see all the plastic ducks lining the window ledges and also scattered around the place ….shelves, tables, etc.
She makes all the food and there is a large selection of it!
Beverly also makes up games and gives out prizes for the winners!
This year we played a really fun game. We all had to match either the quote or the photo to the name of one us pool folks. Only one person figured out my photo! There were about 55 people in the fairly small condo but they had it laid out so everyone had a seat.
The prizes are always fun. She purchased towels that have rubber duckies all over them and there were two of those to win. There were gifts like…. a nice water bottle, jewelry, chocolates, and a large blanket that one of our swimmers crocheted!
Two rather funny and also embarrassing things happened to me. Beverly handed me a gift to give out. She said it came from me. Oh NO! Ha ha. She actually saved the gift I gave her last year…… a C.D. This is not so bad but Beverly is …deaf! Ya. Fail.
The other thing was that there were no chairs that I could get up from with my bad knees. So every time I needed to stand up I had to ask someone to help. Ah well. We all survived.
I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my life. It was a wonderful sip….and dip!
