Parting Shots

Home feels great.

( A huge thank-you to my sister, Paula, who keeps things clean and safe as well.)

Although we received a dump of snow the day after we arrived home….(!)….it was gone by that afternoon.

We unpacked, did laundry, and spent an entire day switching out our paintings from winter scenes to spring/summer and then awaited the arrival of our oldest son’s family! That’s right! We were babysitting while the parents flew of to Montreal for work.

Looking back to Vancouver days I love that we had SO much family time. Golf days for the older boys with their Papa, Dad, and even Auntie Emily one day. Days in the ceramics studio creating art. Delicious dining at J and S’s home. Tickles, giggles, wiggles, cuddles, games, and general enjoyment of hanging out with our 6 grandsons. 2 of our children moved into new homes …and we got to see them! (One of us helped with home repairs. Guess who.) An unexpected trip back to Ontario to be with our families when we received the news that Terry’s dad is terminal. Puffy cherry blossoms, daffodils in their yellow collars, tulips standing straight and colourful, the ocean lapping on the shores of our local beaches, SIX birthdays to celebrate, and so much more.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these little pictorials about our adventures west.

I even found another corny ‘World’s Biggest’ statue and a very big popsicle!

Thanks for reading, my friends.

The World’s Biggest Trophy Cup. A BIG popsicle. “R” feeding a wild bunny. “M” and “I” is plate and fish. Another yummy dinner. Divine Mercy Sunday. “L” playing with marble toy. Three of “J”’s boys looking at worms. “M” and “O” taking a swing at golf.
