Rehearsals!
After I booked the venue for the eventual CD Release of my 4th album, “Storm Heaven”, it was time to start getting into rehearsals. We had a lot of them at Paula and Albert’s home and we also had a lot of laughs. It’s really fun making music together.
Tricia asked if she could join us for these because she loves playing the cajon that her husband made for her. They own Bay 1 Gallery…the wonderful place where I had my very first solo gallery show/sale.
As the summer continued on I knew it was time to invite the whole ‘SpiritLine” band over to our home for rehearsals. The garage worked out well!
I found it really exciting and emotional to hear my music played by these talented musicians. When the concert happens on September 18th people will get to hear this wonderful 9 piece band!
We then moved over to our new drummer’s home for one of the rehearsals. He kindly let us all gather around the pool table in his basement and we all wore headphones and were hooked up to mics. It was fun but I must admit that the drums were so loud that it was really hard to hear each other….even with the headphones. So….back to our home for the last rehearsal..
Tomorrow’s the big day! ( Rehearsal was very fun…and helpful!)
