A Time for Friends and Family
I think it’s so cool that my sisters are my dear friends as well !
Recently, Paula and I took in the “Animated Shorts” at the Edmonton International Film Festival. The stories and animations were diverse and well done…if a little weird to boot! Ha ha. ( Picture 2 claymation characters having sex in a rowboat. Um….)
Terry and I drove to Red Deer another time to meet up with our dear friend, Marie, who drove up from Calgary to meet us at Earl’s Restaurant. What a great way for all of us to meet without one or the other having to drive so far. It was a bit of a belated birthday celebration for Marie too. ( She liked her dachshund ring holder as she has Ollie, her own dachshund.)
One day I met up with our friend, Jazz, who is off because of the teachers’ strike. We went to one of my favourite places, “Art of Cake” and had a 2 hour visit! Always seems to be lots of stories no matter how long we’ve known each other ! (And of course I LOVE the decor.)
And finally, Terry and I were invited to the Mayfair Golf Club for a ‘cocktail evening’. It was nice to meet some of his new friends and taste some of the most incredible nibblies that their new chef prepared. My favourite was the spaghetti that was seasoned and served out of a giant cheese wheel!
Can you find Terry’s photo in the table of award winners?
In the corner of the room there was a one man band kind of guy who played sax and also sang.
I must admit the mini slider (above) was good but the candy table was fantastic……ha ha.
They even had a s’mores table on which you could take away the ingredients to go outside and cook them ! And below…..Terry and some of his friends who make it all possible!
