Wonderful Windsor
In the photo of me above I had only had 3 1/2 Hours sleep. My cab arrived at 3:00 am and I couldn’t get to sleep on the airplanes. But arriving to the beauty of Windsor and my mother and father’s home was uplifting for sure.
It has been a busy time already but SO nice to see family and some of my dear friends.
My Dad turned 93 and we had a fun lunch to celebrate at the Riverside Grill.
He liked his fun gifts and our BLT’s were the best we ever tasted!
I loved seeing my bestie, Barb (who by the way always helps me by storing my bulky necessities like my feather mattress and raised toilet seat. Ugh. She also delivers it to my hotel. What a sweetie.) Our birthdays are exactly one week apart so we celebrated her…..and then we celebrated me…ha ha.
I also was grateful to be with my oldest friend, Cathy, who picked me up and drove us out to “Twiggs” restaurant for a fun “big napkin” type lunch…ha ha. She is SO much fun to be with. (We had a good laugh when she tried to get into someone else’s white van. I think there were 3 parked in a row. ha ha.) And she also spoiled me with wonderful gifts.
I was thrilled when my husband, Terry, arrived a week later….just in time for Mother’s Day. (Be warned: we had a LOT of celebrations this month.) Dad and I got to share our recent paintings with him. ( I am donating mine for a Knights of Columbus charity auction.)
Mother’s Day arrived and we met up with my sister, Pam, her husband, Dave, our brother, John and Terry and I at the Lumberjack for Brunch after mass. Funny thing about mass was that there was no choir that day because they were sick or absent. So the choir director/keyboard player put a mic in front of us and made us sing ….like I used to when I grew up in St. Clair Beach.. WE became the choir. it was fun!
I received some nice gifts from our children as well. I also received a hilarious birthday present from our oldest guy.
It’s just been great so far and I’m thrilled that my sister, Pamela, is retired because selfishly….I get to see more of her!
Last photo we’re with our cousin, Doug.
Next up….my birthday adventures…..
