Hallowe’en Alley 2026

Some of you know that Hallowe’en is my favourite day. I have always loved dressing up and have won many a ‘best costume’ contest since I was a wee lass.

I love fall. I love pumpkins. I even love candy…ha ha. So it should be no surprise that I wanted to take a drive out to see the latest decorations down in Hallowe’en Alley, an Edmonton area where all the neighbours enjoy decorating their front yards for it.

It’s funny that I despise scary/horror movies though.

But these plastic statues just make me laugh. And boy, have people put a LOT of effort into their yards!

It was amazing to see how HUGE some of these creatures stood. Some of them were almost taller than the homes they stood beside. And the AMOUNT of statues and things ….Wow! Where do they put them after the season???

I saw everything from the macabre to the hilarious….like the cow being beamed up by aliens like the video game.

People were even decorating their garage doors……

It sounds funny but I found it to be a relaxing afternoon of taking photos of scary things….ha ha. My 2 faves of the day were the ‘skellie’ under the hairdryer and the 2 skellies selling lemonade.

I hope this weather keeps up for the children on the actual Hallowe’en evening!
