Pool Party 2026!
Our annual “Pool Party” at Pigeon Lake was another successful, fun visit.
I’m sure that our hosts at the cottage were a bit worried about the weather but it was a sunny but cool day until after we arrived home later.
Karen and Bob are just the nicest, most generous folks. They open up their home and yard to this large Aquasize group and they provide the lemonade, tea, and coffee. They have tables set up outside with large umbrellas and the snacks are on the table until all of us arrive with our potluck offerings.
This year, I decided to try an online recipe that assured me that it was VERY easy and delicious too. Let’s say….that both of those descriptions were incorrect…ha ha. I tried to made the wee ‘rose pies’ for the gang and the descriptions of how to make them were also incorrect ….EVERY step of the way. I managed to get 4 sort of decent ones but Terry said they were not sweet/tasty enough. Ugh! But he added to my tray by making Pillsbury crescent rolls. THOSE were good.
Our host, Karen, is below, far right, with 96 year old, Wendy, who still works out in the pool with us!
There were some delicious food and dessert offerings this year, as usual, but less attendees than usual. They were missed. I’m glad Terry’s golf game got cancelled so he could drive out with me.
I actually won TWO of Karen’s quilts (I didn’t take both of course) and Terry won one too! I think we should go buy a lottery ticket…ha ha. I saw this nursing mother on the way home.
Here is our annual photo of the gang…..
