Those Alberta Skies
I’ll never forget my very first sight of Alberta skies. The clouds almost looked fake, they were so puffy and spread out evenly against the cerulean canvas.
Whether I’m looking at a daytime sky downtown, one in the distance near a canola field, a sunset, or an evening one filled with stars, I am always in awe of the beauty.
I love Alberta skies and I love to take photos of them.
You’ve heard the expression “get your head out of the clouds’? Well, I’m surprised I haven’t hurt my neck from all the looking up I tend to do!
It doesn’t matter whether they shower us with rain or give way to the sun….I think they’re beautiful.
I considered doing a blog about the shapes of clouds that looked like other things but I didn’t want people to think I’d manipulated the photos.
Do you remember lying in the grass when you were a child and trying to see shapes in the cloud formations. “I see a dragon!” “I see a dog!” “I see a happy face!” What a great way to spend one’s time.
Too many of us spend our days looking down and moving quickly to get to our next job.
It’s still summer….take a breath and look up! I bet you have beautiful skies in your hometown too!
Peace, friends.
