Bittersweet Good-byes After a Wonderful Week
Our Vancouver families did not make the trip out last summer so it has been lovely to visit with them this year.
It felt wonderful to have the boys on or around my lap as we played iPad Rummikub together (The are REALLY good!) and we always ate good meals which included truckloads of veggies and fruit.
During the last few days there was more golf for the boys and that included the golfing range, pitch and putt and goofy golf. They love their golfing with Grandpa!
We also sent them off to ‘The Big Bounce’ , a giant bouncy castle land out at the racetrack. Other than getting caught at the last minute in the massive rain dump it was a very fun time for J and his 3 boys. Terry sat under a sheltered blowup shelter and did some work so he was out of the hot sun.
We also did some fun crafts and lots of games with the boys. Grandpa figured out how to make a mini pool table and obstacle course as requested by the big boys. L wanted his own wooden putter and that got made as well. “Nonny” directed a flower craft and an alphabet book that was very well done by our youngest grandson.
Auntie Paula spoiled the boys with wonderful gifts and we enjoyed having dinner with her and Albert at the Mayfair. I treated S to a pedicure and she treated us to great meals! We all had a great meal at the Mayfair too.
I miss the Vancouver gangs already but my body is liking the rest…ha ha.
Till we meet up again……
