More Fantastic Friends
Although we sat with Pete and Den at the big 155th Assumption High Reunion we didn’t really have time to chat. EVERYONE knows those two because they are so involved in their community and they volunteer for so many charities.
So it was really great to be invited to the Windsor Club for lunch at the end of the week to hang out with them .
We also drove out to Kingsville one day to have brunch with our dear friend, Patricia Laing.
The food was fresh and tasty but the table was a bit small….ha ha.
Our last ‘friend visit’ was with our friend, Fr. Tom Talentino who we originally met when he lived at the Marian Center in Edmonton!
We picked him up and drove to a nice refurbished area of Drouillard Road. I loved taking photos of the cool murals and it was fun to find a wee coffee/craft beer shop that also made homemade cookies. Yum!
My cookie was an oatmeal/apple/caramel with sugar on top. It was SO sinfully good.
We love seeing our 87 year old Fr. Tom. He’s a wonderful, gentle person and we all get along great.
Until next May………
