Fun Walks and Talks

Our time is winding down now and we are down to our last 2 days in Vancouver with our families. The weather has been mostly cold and rainy but the grasses are green and the flowers are everywhere.

It has been such a blast to meet up with family and friends while here. I had a couple of meet ups with our friend, Bev and a couple more with another friend and other family too.

It has been difficult to stay away from our dear friend, Heather, who spent quite a bit of time in hospital while we were visiting. Happy to say she is on the road to recovery and we had a couple of short but sweet catch ups. Her son, M is in town to take care of her and we got to meet up with both of them one day. SUCH a nice man!

We probably spent more time with both of our sons and their families than ever before. One sunny day we went for a walk with our oldest son, his wife, and we checked out the scenery in their neighbourhood.

S is an incredible gardener with the greenest of thumbs. I wish we lived closer to her. Check out how nothing stops nature in the first photo in the next batch….

We also spent some time with our nephew, Luke, and Terry’s sister and her partner. We took them out for a lovely Greek meal to celebrate their retirements at Hydra. ( Check out that crazy floor that made me dizzy and the flaming cheese!).

Then one evening they treated us to the most delicious stew and homemade biscuits with salad ( all prepared by K) and then cold, tangy lemon and meringue dessert before our crazy Wizard game.

Did you check out the crazy toilet sign? Ha ha.

P.S. Happy birthday to my sister, Pamela today!
