Bad Buddy Rocks Edmonton Fringe
How do you know you’re getting old?
When your daughter’s show starts at 10 pm and you think…” Can I stay up that late and go out?” Ha Ha.
After the 1st day of Terry’s latest golf tournament we drove to Cité Francophone to grab some supper at La Bicyclette before heading to the Fringe Show nearby(A comedy about Eurovision which was silly fun).
The live music was a treat, the people watching…fantastic…but there was one problem. We didn’t have time to eat the dinner because our show was starting soon. SO we asked for the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwiches to be boxed up and off we went to find the theatre nearby.
Next up, we drove back over to the Strathcona Fringe area just in time to get the perfect, close parking spot and watch Bad Buddy perform for an hour.
I think they may have some new fans in the crowd because the show was just excellent!
I love, love, love Emily’s ‘girl power’ songs and their performance was tight with excellent harmonies. The crowd went wild! The crowd….well some of them….WERE wild!
I have to say that it was cold with a light rain but the crowd moved so much they were warm enough! People were dancing and roaring for an encore at the end of the show.
One small world thing….I met a woman from my pool who not only knows me but Emily is the sound engineer for her son’s new album! We met a few other folks we knew as well.
I’m very happy we went. (Even though Emily told the whole crowd to ‘boo’ us …ha ha. She said we were actually great parents and then everyone cheered. Talk about NOT being incognito. HA!)
