It Was a Happy Thanksgiving!
Although we woke up to our world lightly snowing and cold outside…it was warm inside for Thanksgiving weekend.
I suggested watching 3 of our Vancouver boys because their parents were flying to Ontario for a family wedding and J and S were having trouble finding childcare.
It worked out great. Our 11 year old woke up and made us all pancakes and then we spent all day and into the evening creating a fun craft. We decided to make a castle centrepiece for our long table. All together we would be 14 of us on Monday evening for dinner. We enjoyed a bonfire evening when it stopped snowing.
The boys made the Autumn trees, the soldiers, a treasure box filled with jewels, the flags, and they painted the moat and platform. I was in charge of glue gun work, and ‘grandpa’ spray painted the final sculpture.
We had lots of hours for games too and we all discovered the wonderful “Museum of Illusions” and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours we spent inside.
I’d love to share more photos but I won’t share any children’s faces so these are the best I can do….
We worked all day getting ready for our Monday night dinner, cooking, setting the tables, decorating. I baked….and so did Terry!
I wish I had taken more photos of J and S who returned from Toronto but it was a busy evening of feasting and feeling thankful for a beautiful family and friend gathering. I added a couple more photos of game playing during the weekend.
I pray that you also had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I am truly thankful…..for YOU!
