Friends and Family times
Before Terry joined me in Kits he had a big surprise at mass : he won the free, St. Patrick’s Day gift basket! Because we are so visible at church (as being leaders of song) a lot of the congregation thought it was ‘fixed’ …..but it wasn’t…ha ha.
We had the joy of meeting up with our dear friends at Juliet’s Restaurant for breakfast one morning. I hope we can meet up a lot while we’re here!
And another great meal at one of our son’s homes ….complete with birthday cake for his 39th! Yum.
Recently, we were invited to Whistler to stay with our other son and his family. They were there to ski but we also had the chance to meet up with “D’s” family and spend a couple of hours at the Audain Art Gallery and then lunch. What joy to be near our boys and their gang!
We had a very delicious lunch that first day in the village while the boys skied. (“S” had hurt her knee with the “soupy” snow.)
The next day it was art gallery time and it was a wonderful experience. Our grandsons got complimented on being the best children the staff had ever experienced there! Check out the golf bag totem poles below!
Lunch with gang and the Andrews grandparents was lovely too!
The next day we left after breakfast and it rained all the way back. But when we got to the edge of the city the sun came out and it was a gorgeous day!
Glad we had a chance to explore the town of Whistler with our boys and families. AND…..we made it back in time for our 11 am mass!
