A Time To Be Creative
This has been a wonderful last few weeks for feeling acknowledged with regards to artistic merit. I had not sold art for quite some time and had a wee chat with God about it. “Should I still be creating art if it’s not moving out of the house?”
Well, it seems His answer was a resounding ‘YES!’
Shortly after this prayer I was told I sold 2 of my “Through The Rainy Windshield Paintings” from the Rosebud Country Inn display.
Then a stranger purchased one my paintings from my website. ( He found the exact image of the spot in Rome where he proposed!) Anyway, I feel encouraged.
Speaking of creativity we had the chance to return to Bay 1 Gallery for their “Box and Bowl” show. We purchased a lovely piece from the owner, Ralph.
I can’t believe that my art is in Rosebud, Concordia University, Sweet Pea Café, and the NOA Gallery at the moment!
Last week we did a fun art project with our 3 grandsons and their mum (from Vancouver). I asked Terry to take the gang to Value Village to look for small, affordable prints.
They brought them home to our makeshift art table (thank you , Terry) where we all turned the images into winter/Christmas scenes!
It was fun for my sister, Paula and I to bring a painting to put in the Bonnie Doon Gallery for their “Aire” exhibition too. She did the beautiful alcohol ink balloons and I did the “Clouds Over Canmore” painting.
If you live in Edmonton, stop by Sweet Pea for some delicious food, coffee, sweets and have a look at new art from Terry and myself. It will be there for over a month!
Us with Sam from Sweet Pea.
Of course even this blog is a part of my creativity enjoyment. I hope you enjoy it too!
P.s….. I am also making Christmas gifts this year!
