When It’s Not Raining

My gosh, it’s been raining so much here that there have been over 600 flooded basements in Edmonton. We’re blessed that OUR home didn’t flood for once! (We paid for enough changes so ….GOOD!). I also heard that it had been raining for weeks while I was in Windsor. Yikes!

When Terry and I got notice that there was to be a sunny day we packed up our gear to get out and enjoy the warmth and beauty of our city.

One day we headed off to “Little Brick” for an expensive (!) lunch. We split a sandwich and it was $18.00! (The drinks were extra!)Then we played our game in a nearby park and only got bitten by a few mosquitoes….ha ha.

Another day we went to nearby Laurier park for a similar adventure…..except that it was very difficult for yours truly to win! That evening we decided spur of the moment to attend ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ to see “Much Ado About Nothing” which was hilarious and excellent.

The rains are supposed to be returning. That’s why I’m indoors. Boo.
