Stormy Skies and Happy Eyes
Gosh, the rain and winds have been CRAZY here in Edmonton and surrounding areas. I personally have never heard of a tornado warning in our city before but we have had a few this summer! I’ve also noticed that our usually ‘dry heat’ summers are becoming more like Ontario’s : humid and hot!
So, we had one of our wonderful Vancouver families come to stay with us for 10 days and it was SO nice. Some days it was above 30 and other days it just poured.
On one of the nicer days I had a lovely visit with my friend, Cathy H. She has a gorgeous yard (and home) and we sat outside by the pond. She treated me to a scone and cuppa too. We always enjoy our talks about faith and family.
We did lots of activities with our grandchildren that week.
My sister, Paula, actually gifted me with TWO great craft ideas so I had a couple of days helping the boys make squiggly, wiggly creatures and another painting treasure boxes. (She even gave me the treats to put inside!)
They did a super job on both crafts. And the ‘sports’ activities were appreciated too!
Until next time, my wonderful family…… (and 2 godchildren!)
