It seems my creative life revolves around singing or painting. And I LOVE both!
Since my CD Release concert ended I’ve had a chance to get back to some painting and it’s been really fun.
One of the things I got to do recently was to attend my very first painting party. I’ve always been curious as to how they work. I got invited by my friend, “T” who played the cajon in my band. After quite a long drive north/east I finally found the house and there were about 17 of us invited to attend. It was funny to find out I actually am friends with the ‘teacher’ as we both belong to the same ‘art collective’. She did a great job in supplying ALL of the easels, paints, brushes, etc. …and she taught me some things I didn’t know so I was very happy.
Here are some photos of the afternoon painting session……
I got lucky and sold a couple of paintings in Rosebud….and …I have a new commission that came out of it too. Here they are….
I also wanted to surprise my friend, Cathy, with a painting I did of her and her granddaughter one summer…… (She was very surprised and happy.)
I just completed a commission for my sister, Pamela’s sister-in-law. Here it is…..
And finally, here is a little painting I did for my friend, Karen’s birthday. She took the photo and doesn’t know she will receive the painting of her image in a couple of days….
