44 Years!
Terry and I decided to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary by heading out to Rosebud to see “Anne of Green Gables” ,( a world premiere because of the new score). I received some beautiful flowers from my guy and I found a funny shirt for him because of an expression he’s said over the years after seeing a movie in which it appeared.
The weather was perfect (no rain for once) and we had a lovely drive out past the gorgeous canola fields and into the wee town about 4 hours later. The show was very very good and the music must have been incredibly difficult for the cast to learn. They nailed it though.
It was really cool to see a large poster with a scene from Terry’s musical ‘DREAM’ in the hallway of the Opera House!
After the show we met up with some of our friends who were in the cast (2 of whom were also in DREAM) and then we headed over to the Country Inn to have a piece of blueberry pie at B.J.’s. It’s always fun to see some of our ‘merch’ at the Inn. We also had a wonderful tea time there with our friend and artistic director, Paul Muir.
We had such a good time that we stayed a lot longer than we anticipated. Our plan was to leave fairly quickly as we were making the trip there and back in one day. But we had such good chats that we arrived home pretty late.
