A Happy Canada …Evening!
Of course it was yet another rainy evening when we surprised our twins and ‘J’ with tickets to go to Shakespeare in The Park for Canada Day!
The mosquitoes were voracious and soon after we parked the lightening and thunder started too!
I’m glad we left early enough to get a seat UNDER the big roofed tent. “Something Rotten” was the show and the powers that be wisely delayed the musical so that the rains could quiet down enough for us to hear the dialogue and music.
We weren’t allowed to take photos during the show of course but I had fun snapping a few while some of the cast walked around beforehand and played up with the audience.
Emily bought me a nice little bag of popcorn and we brought our own drinks so it was fun to hang out and snack while we waited for the rains to slow down.
The show was funny, clever, and even had tap dancing! We all enjoyed it very very much. And our mosquito repellants worked!
I’m really happy we had a chance to celebrate Canada Day (evening!) this way and I will miss L and J when they go back to America.
P.S. Happy 44th to my wonderful husband, Terry!
