All About The Art, part one
I am always so honoured if someone thinks I’m a good enough artist to be asked to do a commissioned painting.
So yes. I can still be low self esteem about my talent as an artist but am extremely happy to paint and create. This year has been such an incredible one for creating …from my husband’s musical, DREAM, to my new album, STORM HEAVEN, moving forward to shows in various locations around Alberta. SO fun!
Up above you can see a commission that I did for my friend, Marla. She sent me several photos of her father’s old haunts when he was in the very first black baseball team in Alberta. He turned 100 this past August and she wanted to present him with the painting for his gift. She loved it! (And so did he and the family!)
Above, you can see my new series called “Through The Rainy Windshield”. These next 3 have sold….
Here is the process of my newest “Rainy Windshield”…. See below. It is of the church ( St. Augustine’s) that we attend in Vancouver, B.C..
I recently sold this piece on Facebook’s Marketplace….. see below.
I have the next wee painting in a show/sale in Edmonton with the Budding Art Collective and the large piece in Concordia University for a month….
More about my art in my next blog……
