Fear vrs. Family

Sometimes I can feel really fearful.

What if my sisters don’t arrive? What if they don’t arrive safely? What if we get hurt during all the road trips we’re doing? Some of our friends / family are ill. Will they get well?

I try to think of the mantra…..’Even if”…. (instead of ‘What if’…) Because truly ‘even if’ is my faith. “Even if” something bad happens….. I still will believe in God and trust that He’s ‘got this’.

There truly are a great number of my friends and family suffering right now. So we go on singing and praising and knowing that all will be well in the end. One just needs to believe and to pray to stay connected to the King of Peace. I particularly stay close to his mother. It’s nice knowing we’re not alone and have someone to talk to and trust.

It turned out to be a lovely week here despite the worrying news of those we love fighting illness.

On the way back from Rosebud we stopped into an old quonset building which housed many antiques and collectables.

Some of us found a piece or two for their collections and we always find it fun to sift through the ‘treasures’.

Monday was our last day together for all four of us in the same province. We ironically ended up at a giant ‘boot’ sale or antique sale in the antique mall’s parking lot. Again we found some collectables that we were looking for! Pamela refurbishes/recycles old toys as handles for dressers/shelves/drawers etc. .

It was boiling hot that day so I was happy we ended up in the wee café in the antique mall for a cold drink.

Now that the music is on hold for a bit I have turned back to art and actually sold one of my paintings that day. I am about to illustrate a book and I will have some of my paintings in 3 different locations…The Rosebud Country Inn, Concordia University, and the Sweet Pea Café!

Lots to be thankful for….

Peace, friends.
