Receiving and Giving

Every morning I start my day with prayer. It is a lovely way to connect to the One with whom I adore, honour, and need. I offer my day to Jesus and I enjoy praying my rosary and my ‘12 year prayers’.

After that the day can unfold as it will and lately our days have been filled with the sunshine of being with good friends and the lack of sunshine while our city is pummelled with rain, lightning , and hail. It’s crazy! So many fires and trees down. We’ve never seen a summer like this in Edmonton. There have even been tornadoes! Luckily, our visits with friends and family have been a beautiful distraction.

The other day we went out to dinner at the Mayfair Golf Dining Room with dear friends up from Calgary. Terry and I treated ourselves to a nice Greek dinner and people watching experience one night (and got more than we bargained for!) We also had the pleasure of finally getting to see one of our favourite comedians, Nate Bargatze at Roger’s Place!

I now have my art hanging in 3 locations so I hope that folks will like it enough to purchase a few. Terry and Paula are with me at the couple of the shows too. It’s such a blessing to be able to share our art and give a portion of the proceeds to charity. Here is my latest painting…..

Rehearsal was fun at Paula and Albert’s….

Glad I got to be with my buddy, Tim, too. Watch out for those ‘golf balls’……
