Pysanky and Paula

It was back to the cold cold when we headed back to the Marian Centre to get creative near our wonderful friends in their art space.

It always feels like home when we are there and our friends are so welcoming. They even invited us to their private mass afterwards.

If that wasn’t enough, I thought I was back to painting but they told me they basically set up the whole pysanky area just for me! So I got to create an egg design that day!

I really enjoyed this sacred time while Terry worked on a new painting across from me.

Here is my first pysanky of the season….a dancing Ukrainian woman.

The second week of Lent saw me creating a more classic Ukrainian egg. It’s a bigger duck egg and it turned out sort of ‘tie dye’. I like it though.

Oh! And I finally connected with my beloved sister. She didn’t seem surprised that I brought her a ‘koala’ from Australia. That was her nickname growing up….

”Paula Koala” …ha ha.

Lent has started so we are off to a lovely beginning of our 40 days leading up to Easter.
