Playing Around With My Phone Camera

I truly think my mind is always looking for that next photo. I can’t help it.

I don’t have any professional training (I’m sure that’s clear…ha ha) but I love to take photographs and I can see the possibility of photos in whatever direction I look or wherever I am. Whether it’s sitting at my computer or out on a road trip I can see things that make me want to capture them this way.

Sometimes it is just the lighting that changes the image from hour to hour, day to day.

I can find beauty/interest in a fly on my knee or a patch of sunflowers. I love zooming in or zooming out! A beaten up car or a moon at dusk….they both seem interesting to me.

One day I had fun experimenting with looking down into a toilet paper roll.

Another day I tried to capture the view of the bottom of my finished smoothie . Could I balance an airplane trail on my finger?

It doesn’t matter which direction I look there is something in my view that I want to capture…..like an old bench, or a rock that looks like a heart, the drive-through window at Tim Horton’s, the light through our blinds, or our Legislature and a shiny fire truck.

How about wildlife? I’m no nature photographer but I love to capture the images of birds and animals that I see. (A couple of these were donated to me by Terry…ha ha)

Check out the photographs in the news lately? If you want to see bloodshed, death, dangerous weather, and you name it that’s scary…..that is what you will most likely see.

I try and look for the beauty.

Try it!
